Welcome to the student section of the website. If you’re new to Knighton then you’ll be able to find out a bit about who we are and what we get up to from browsing around the site, but feel free to email us if you have any other questions.



Students form a crucial part of the life of this church. We’re a family church and see you as a big part of that family!

At Knighton we have a team dedicated to students, led by Steve and Rachel Bawden who studied at Leicester. We want to make it as easy as possible for you to get involved and feel at home here. We put on a number of events throughout the year specifically for students but our heart is that you feel very much part of the family here at Knighton!

What’s on?

Sunday evenings
Every Sunday evening, after the 6.30pm service we normally head back to Steve and Rach's house nearby. It's a good time to enjoy hanging out as a group, but also reflect on what God's been teaching us during the day. It's been really exciting to see friendships grow as we share and pray together at the end of every evening.

Student Lunches
We all know students appreciate good food! We hold regular student lunches at homes, and it's a fantastic way to get to know other members of the church - as well as feeding up for the rest of the week! Listen out during the church notices to hear when the next Sunday student lunch will be.



Getting involved in church?
Church only works when we all pull together. The bible talks about us being a body and we each have a part to play. We really want you to be involved in CU as Uni is such a strategic time for reaching your friends, but we do want you to be part of church too! Pick up a “How can I serve” leaflet from the foyer and drop it in to the office. Students are involved in loads of areas from helping with the PA to being leaders on the summer camps held at Hungarton. Where will you fit?

International students

We count it a great privilege that students from all over the world join us at Knighton. Throughout the year we lay on a number of meetings and social events for international students, and all are welcome to join any of the groups and events at Knighton.

The 'Globe Cafe' for international students runs on Monday nights at 7.30pm at Holy Trinity Church, Leicester.
