STUDENTS
Hello!
Welcome to Knighton Church and the student work. Whether you’re returning back from the long summer holidays, or here for the first time, you are very welcome. Are you worried about this term, or just looking forward to getting stuck in? Either way we look forward to meeting you. The student work here is headed up by myself, and Rach (my wife). We’ve just finished three years at Leicester Uni ourselves and are keen for you guys to have as good a time as we did!
So, what have we got for you?
Firstly, on October 7th we have a student lunch at a house nearby. Look out for us at the end of the service in the morning and we’ll be walking there. Come along for free food and just to chill! Secondly, the week after on the 14th October we have another student lunch at Andy Upton’s house. He is the church minister and it will be a great opportunity for you to ask any questions you want to the church leadership.
After these first two weeks we will be going to our house every week after the evening service, where we’ll just get to have a fun time together, and also spend some time praying and sharing. Once a month we’ll invite someone older from the church to come a do a special for us. The aim isn’t to detach you from church life – we hope to help you guys get the most out of Knighton. It’s very exciting and we’re looking forward to getting to know you!
What can you do now?
Listen to a sermon of Andy Upton, the Church minister, to get an idea of the God centred inspiring teaching at Knighton; Read the Church bulletin to get an idea of the exciting Church activity; and Speak to people in the Church to get some idea of the family atmosphere.
Come and introduce yourself – we look forward to speaking to you.
